City centre wedding in Liverpool
- By David

Another sunny day and another fabulous city centre wedding in Liverpool at St George’s Hall. I never tire of working at one of the city’s most prominent and iconic buildings. It is set up for the biggest of weddings in the Concert Hall, through to more intimate family affairs in the rooms upstairs. Everywhere is steeped in history and it really is a special place for special occasions. And of course, there are tons of photo opportunities and brilliant locations, both inside and outside.
So I was delighted when Karim and Rasa asked me to be their wedding photographer there for their civil ceremony.

So, if you are planning a wedding at St. George’s Hall and need an experienced, reliable Liverpool wedding photographer, that will capture all the action, unobtrusively during the ceremony please give me a call, or drop me an email.

A summer wedding in Somerset for Rahul and Abigail
Many of my wedding clients arrive via refferals from previous happy couples. With Rahul and Abigail things were a little different. They met at the Big Chill music festival and posted a little request for pointers to Somerset wedding photography on the event’s busy discussion boards. I worked as a music photographer at the festivalover 5 years and while not based in the county, someone passed on their message to me. We met at their home in Manchester and when I heard their plans I knew it was going to be brilliant.
Things began early for Rahul’s preparations and then it was on to Abigail’s parents home for a traditional ceremony.
Then it was off to the North Curry Church for the second ceremony of the day!
Followed by a garden party back at Abigail’s Mum and Dad’s home; the garden was stunning and brimming with flowers.
It was an amazing day’s work. I LOVE my job so much. Congratulations to Rahul and Abigail !

Civil ceremony
- By David

Briefly mentioned the civil ceremony at St Georges Hall last week. I was the photographer for Charlotte and Jonathan’s wedding and it was absolutely lovely and an honour to help them out. Loads of friends and family travelled to be a part of their big day and fortunately the weather was absolutely splendid. The ceremony was in the rather plush Sefton Room and we made great use of the steps for group shots and then went into the gardens for some more private moments.

The Wedding Day Replay

A friend works for The Roy Castle Lung Cancer charity – they do some brilliant work, so when she asked me to help them with an event, it was a delight.
………………….
The Wedding Day Replay
Every bride secretly wishes they could re-live their special day and wear that fabulous dress just one more time – and now they can!
The average cost of a wedding dress in the UK is £1340, yet the bride only gets to wear it once. After all the tears and tribulations involved in finding the right dress, and all the primping, planning and preparation invested in making sure they look and feel fabulous, most brides say that that their special day flies by far too quickly.
The Roy Castle Foundation is hosting a very special one-off event; inviting brides across Merseyside to get THAT dress out of the loft or off the top of the wardrobe and to wear it one more time.
And the Wedding Day Replay is not just open to brides, because bridesmaids, Maids of Honour, Mothers of the Bride and bridegrooms are all invited too! This is an opportunity for all Leading Ladies and their female friends and relatives to get dressed up and feel as glamorous as they did on their ‘special day’.
Some may have outgrown their gowns, or had them re-styled – while other dresses might have suffered damage ‘on the day’ – so the event will feature spot prizes to recognise the challenges involved in recreating the original fairy-tale.
Categories will include: ‘Most creative method of fitting into a dress’, ‘Most unusual stain’ and even ‘Best Charity Shop Outfit’ – for those who may have sold their original gown!
The event will take place on Thursday 11th September at the Pan Am Bar in Liverpool.
Tickets are priced at £20 and guests will receive two complementary cocktails.

Lovely review here – thanks for writing guys …
“David was our wedding photographer on 27th Feb 2014, and he was the ultimate professional, making us (specially my wife) calm and at ease on what is probably her most imprtant day. David was non intrusive and ensured that the end result was natural, warm and amazing quality photgraphs. David mingled with all the guests taking pictures without them realising which ensured that unguarded moments of happiness was captured. Any request we had was happliy taken on board . It is no mean task trying to herd all our friends and family together for group shots and credit to him he managed it in a jovial and confident manner (fair play to you :)) The photos are amazing and will forever remind us of a wonderful day, I would not hesitate to recommend David to anyone, and if anyone wants to get in touch with me to talk through my experiences then please get in touch with me. Thanks again for being part of our magical day. Cheers, Duncan and Debbie”

St Georges Hall Wedding
- By David

I was really excited to be back in the city centre for another St Georges Hall wedding. It is an impressive building, neo-classical but with loads of rooms to fit every size of wedding. And of course loads of great locations for pictures. Bride and Groom, Debbie and Duncan were super relaxed during the build up and it was great fun documenting some of the preparations at their house in south Liverpool. Then it was in the posh cars for a trip into town. And for March we were very lucky with the weather – chilly, but bright sunshine. Perfect setting for a perfect day. Congratulations again to Debbie and Duncan and choosing me to be your wedding photographer !
