Sneak Peek at an Italian wedding

I was lucky enough to be asked to take some photos for a lovely couple who married in Tuscany, Italy. Absolutely stunning venue and reception. The Bride and Groom have asked for a little privacy – so only a taster here I’m afraid. Enjoy !
So get in touch, if you marrying overseas – I’m an experienced, independent traveller and happy to help your day go as smoothly as possible.

Happy New Year !
If you are getting married this summer and still haven’t booked a wedding photographer, I’ve got some availability left in June and July – drop me a PM and lets check dates. My wedding photography prices and packages are detailed via the jump – Of course I understand every wedding is different and with this in mind I am more than happy to be flexible with my pricing, if you have specific requirements or getting married mid-week, or arranging a winter wedding later in 2016, early 2017, drop me an email or give me a call and I will get back to you with a fair and accurate bespoke quote.
Be quick though – I limit the number of events I can manage each year – as I’m a full time photographer during the week, and with a young family I need a little time off 🙂

Digital packages

Many couples are requesting their final collection of images on a USB pens / flash drives – I guess highlighting the way individuals use technology these days. More and more devices no longer have CD drives and I have found a great supplier of bespoke pen drives, in eco friendly wood – so about time to rock out some pictures. Here they are from the last wedding I covered.
Also, as you can see, the flash drives are engraved and in their own lovely wooden box – a really nice touch I think. Of course, if you have seen something different – I’m open to suggestions, to make it the perfect digital keepsake.

Busy summer …
- By David
I’ve had a really busy summer – some smashing weddings with some fabulous people. But where are the photos? Well I always ask and respect couple’s wishes if they don’t want images in the public domain. And I don’t ask the reason why – up to them in the end – be it jobs or whatever – no problem. And of course their galleries remain password protected.
Anyway, I’ve opened up my books again for next year and 2017 – so if you would like a free consultation, I’m more than happy to visit or meet at your wedding venue. Don’t worry I don’t do a hard sell or give you any stress – please get in touch via the contact form or call me on 07810 321 634 and lets hook up over a coffee.

Couples let down by Liverpool wedding photographers …
- By David
Really sad to hear quite a few couples have been let down by Liverpool based wedding photographers this summer – it seems a couple of guys have gone out of business without informing Brides to be, or arranging any replacements. Poor show and I’ve had a few calls from fairly desperate people looking for help.
Unfortunately I’m fully booked this summer and combined with my own holiday, I’m not even taking consultations now until October, when I open my books again for 2016 / 2017.
However, drop me a message and I can recommend someone if it is last minute in July / August / September of this year – they are great.
If your wedding is beyond October 2015, check with me for availabilty and I’ll be happy to help with a big discount on my usual prices if you’ve been let down – I’m super reliable, trustworthy and not going anywhere soon !

A few more from Lauren and Elaine’s special day in Liverpool. We had some great weather and some great smiles. We started at St. George’s Hall and then afterwards to Lark Lane for a reception party at Maranto‘s. If you are looking for an experienced and friendly wedding photographer, give me a call and let’s work out a great deal.

Cornerstone wedding photography at Hope University
- By David

It was absolutely lovely to be Jane and John’s wedding photographer. I did a little engagement shoot with them, so we had had a chance to get to know each other and they seemed a very relaxed and organised couple, deeply in love. So it was brilliant for their special day to arrive.
They got married at St Thomas More Church in Aigburth, literally minutes from their home, so it was a familiar place for them and their families. We had good weather and everything went to plan with a lovely ceremony and mass. Later the party continued at a Hope University venue, The Cornerstone, at their Creative Campus. It is one of the best wedding venues in the city and recommended by me, as it has a beautiful great hall and spelendid gardens and just that little bit off the beaten track, while remaining firmly in Liverpool’s city centre.
The Cornerstone is a listed building, and you can tell that when you enter the Great Hall. It has an amazing double height ceiling and loads of windows, which give it an airy, light feel with loads of natural light for photographs. The hall has a great wooden floor, so super for dancing and just outside is a large balcony and bar, overlooking the venue’s entrance. And of course we made use of the gardens, in between rain showers. The planting varies from formal landscaping to wild flower meadows, so is absolutely perfect for those moments to escape the crowds for a few minutes and secure some intimate couple portraits.
Many congratulations to Jane and John, below are some of my favourite images from a wonderful day.
So if you’ve booked the Cornerstone venue and looking for a wedding photographer please follow the jump and get in touch for a free consultation. Alternatively if you were at Jane and John’s wedding and would like to view and buy some images from my print store please follow the jump.
