Harriet and Sam marry at Hope Street Hotel
I had an instant rapport with Harriet and Sam when I met them for a free consultation – they seemed relaxed and organised about their wedding and had some strong opinions and ideas about the photography that they wanted. Their’s was very much a city wedding, taking in the sights of Liverpool and using one of the finest boutique hotel venues for their reception, the Hope Street Hotel.
The ceremony took place at the Cotton Exchange in the centre of Liverpool.
The Hope Street Hotel has recently added a roof-top terrace where the wedding reception took place. The views over Liverpool were stunning!
Many thanks to Harriet and Sam for inviting me to a part of their special day. It was quite magical.

Hard Days Night Hotel wedding photography

Hitched at the Hard Days Night Hotel!
Many years in the planning, the Hard Days Night Hotel is located in a converted 1884 building in the city the Beatles made famous. The venue has loads of original Beatles related photographs and prints and is amazing to wander around. Even some of the guest bedrooms are musically themed. It is a fantastic venue for a wedding and I was lucky enough to be the wedding photographer for Andrea and John on their special day.
The ceremony was held in Hard Days Night Hotel’s intimate chapel. So it was good, as all the guests were in one place for the whole day and no transport was required from venue to venue.
After the ceremony, the guests relaxed with a few drinks, while Andrea and John took me on a tour of the John Lennon-themed bridal suite. It is complete with a mini-grand piano – white of course. Also it gave us a chance to get some lovely relaxed portraits and give the happy couple a few moments to relax away from the crowds.
The reception went on into the night and I was there to capture the arrival of the evening guests and the bride and groom’s first dance. The venue transforms it’s ‘chapel’ into a great evening dancing venue and of course, during the room change around, it gives the guests an opportunity to check the couple of intimate bars in the hotel. It also meant I could have a short, but necessary break !
Congratulations and many thanks to Andrea and John. A truely wonderful day, with them and their kind families and friends.
