Wedding flowers photography

Wedding flowers are a beautiful way to decorate your wedding ceremony and reception. As with the rest of your wedding details the wedding flowers and colours that you decide to choose will be key and play a big role in your day. And they are something I absolutely love photographing, whether its a formal display in the church, or a close up of a fantastic button-hole, they are magical details that make your wedding special and unique. Of course I plan to document all your details, but the flowers with their colours, textures and sculptural shapes are often a highlight and make for amazing images.
Not only will you need wedding flowers to decorate your ceremony and reception but you will need a stunning bouquet to hold as you walk down the aisle, your bridesmaids will also need a bouquet to carry and it is traditional to order a selection of button holes or boutonnières to distribute throughout your wedding party, including the groom.
I offer creative and contemporary wedding photography in Liverpool, Merseyside and the surrounding areas of the North West. Browse my photography blog to see my latest work and feel free to contact me for an informal chat about your own wedding plans.

I’ve been asked to photograph children’s parties on numerous occasions and each time it has been a lot of fun. Phoebe’s third birthday party recently was absolutely brilliant. Great fun and games from entertainer Super Mario and loads of emotion, interaction, colour and energy throughout the afternoon ! The sun also shined and there was even a bouncy castle !
If you are looking for a children’s party photographer, I’ll be more than happy to help and give you a quote, just get in touch !

Gerrad and Paulette – a Yorkshire Wedding !
When I photographed Gerrad and Paulette on an engagement shoot a few weeks back, I knew the wedding itself was going to be brilliant. Such a relaxed and happy couple, I arrived early to catch all their Yorkshire wedding preparations ! Paulette was busy with her lovely bridesmaids and her brother who was giving her away. The venue was the Gomersal Park Hotel near Cleckheaton in West Yorkshire and fortunately we were blessed with sunny warm weather.
Really great venue, having the ceremony and the reception in the same venue always works well. Plus having affordable rooms is sucha bonus for those guests who have to travel long distances. Finally the gardens and grounds at Gomersal Park are amazing, so brilliant for photographs!
So many, many congratulations to the happy couple, it was a real privilage to be a part of your special day. Best wishes for the future !

Radisson Hotel – Sarah and Glyn’s wedding
Some couples know what they want from wedding photography, others are sure what they don’t want. Glyn and Sarah didn’t want too much fuss from their photographer; no posed, cheesy fashion staged shots, and very few blurry, black and white arty experiments! Just natural, relaxed colour images which will last a lifetime. Add in a classic venue, The Radisson Hotel and eveything was set perfectly !
They chose one of the best venues in Liverpool, The SAS Radisson Hotel, on Old Hall Street in the centre of town. It has a fantastic atrium, loads of flexibility when it comes to reception rooms and best of all a great spa & fitness health club.
I stayed with Glyn and Sarah the whole day and ended up taking about 400 images of their special day, and while all these images couldn’t fit in their album, the rest were on the DVD at hi-resolution, which is a feature of all my wedding packages. Anyway, I really enjoyed working with them and their families, here are some more of my personal highlights and below a little testimonial from the happy couple.

Engagement photography with Gerrad and Paulette
I travelled down the M62 to meet Gerrard and Paulette at their wedding venue and after a little chat and get to know each other, we did a quick engagement photography shoot. The weather held out for us and quickly they relaxed, enabling me to make some wonderful couple portraits. They are getting married at the rather splendid Gomersal Park Hotel, near Bradford. So it made sense to meet there and use the fantastic grounds for our photo shoot.
So really looking forward to their big day now – only a couple of weeks to go.
I offer pre-wedding photo shoots / couple’s engagement portraits as a standalone package as well as an optional extra to your bespoke wedding photography. I really enjoy engagement shoots, and the freedom they bring. We aren’t tied down to a specific date, so if the weather changes for the worst we can always re-schedule. No beautiful white dress to stand on and ruin. Plus we have much more time than at most weddings to relax and get perfect shots ! So please get in touch to book a session !

Racquet Club – Liverpool wedding photography

Finally catching up with my blog, after a really busy Christmas period with two weddings. First up was Jenny and Ken who got married at their local parish St Johns in Walton and then travelled to a fabulous reception at The Racquet Club. The ground was still covered with snow and ice, but thankfully that didn’t stop us. We were able to get lots of fabulous photographs and I was able to cover both the grooms and the brides preparations before heading to the church.
St John the Evangelist is a great church for photographing the ceremony as there is room to move around discreetly and capture the action from lots of different perspectives. Something I always love to do. And I know the place really well now, as it was my third wedding there! After the ceremony was over everyone made their way outside to congratulate the happy couple, in the usual way, by throwing confetti !
Later we travelled onwards to the fantastic Racquet Club, in Liverpool city centre. It is one of my favourite venues, as it has a really relaxed atmosphere and some wonderful staff. Again another third time visit for me shooting a wedding there, so I really know my way around the club now and they had gone to town with some wonderful festive decorations. Much dancing and fun was had.
Anyway, many congratulations to Jenny and Ken, it was an absolutely fabulous day and I really enjoyed being part of it.

A lovely morning on Pierhead for a family portrait !
It’s lovely when some old friends are in town, a great chance to hook up and take a few family portrait photos. I took Vince and Abigail’s wedding photographs in Bristol in 2007 and it was great to see them again in Liverpool and meet their new family. We had all been at a wedding the previous evening and decided to get up early and have a little tour of the waterfront and Pierhead. As luck would have it, it was one of those magical, crispy bright autumn mornings and we had a ball. Below are a small selection from the shoot – thank you Vince and Abigail for letting me show them on my blog – I think they are lovely.
If you have a location that means something special, lets meet up and have a bit of fun with some photos ! Check my lifestyle family portrait information for more details.

Kev and Liz’s wedding photography at Liverpool’s Racquet Club
As a central Liverpool venue, The Racquet Club takes some beating. As did the lovely couple Kev and Liz. I met them at a wedding I covered years ago in Bristol and they remembered me and got back in touch to share their plans for a fabulous city centre wedding.
I absolutely loved this wedding and Kev and Liz are such genuinely lovely people I couldn’t help but smile the whole day through. It proved to be a really beautiful day, with really beautiful people. Many congratulations to Kev and Liz and best wishes for your future together !

Happy times in Yorkshire by a lifestyle photographer
A quick trip across the Pennines to Yorkshire for some more lifestyle portrait photography with Jane and her family. And while I’m a lifestyle photographer based in Liverpool, I’m more than happy to travel. I brought my mobile studio and we did some work indoors, before venturing outside to a local park. The weather wasn’t great but we had some fun with the leaves and their lovely children.
So if you want beautiful photographs of your family as they are now, to treasure forever, check my lifestyle photography information and please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
